"And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons."
Genesis 3:7
Because of their disobedient actions,Adam and Eve became self-aware ("And the eyes of them both were opened"). Now what was important to them was their individualistic condition, a condition that resulted in a separation from the God-consciousness that accommodated an intimacy with their Creator.
Therefore their relationship with Almighty God deteriorated into a strained, fearful, and apprehensive encounter (Genesis 3:10). Before, for Adam, conversing and relating to God was naturally-spiritual and a spiritually-natural occurrence that exemplified the divinely preordained bonding between Creator and creation. Now, facing God was riddled by unknowns and insecurity.
Adam and Eve became separated from Elohim, spiritually and therefore God was now a distant and unknown entity...someone to be afraid of and someone to hide from.
This is the legacy handed down from the beginning and has led to the mind, purpose, will, and everything about God being completely unknown.
Over the centuries, humanity has accommodated this legacy, because the yearning, within, to connect intimately with God, continues to be a conviction coming from the Spirit. But the condition of self- awareness continues to impede and as a result, mankind has devised many ways to sew fig-leaves together, in an attempt to satisfy the inward hunger and appease God, in some inadequate way.
This Fig-Leaf mentality has led to the formalization of the various religions in operation, today, so that just like Adam, mankind is disconnected and clueless with respect to Godly ways. Mankind, in general, wants to relate to his Creator but he wants to have an input and hold on to his life.
Almighty has always provided the answer to the human dilemma by sending His Son, in the form of Jesus Christ, so that the God-consciousness which was superseded by human-consciousness, in the Garden, can be reversed and the divine intimacy thus derived can differentiate mankind's existence.
The Son of God must be "received" (John 1;12), in the sense of people giving up their life, will, and self-determination, to complete and absolute control to the Spirit, exclusively and for every minute of every day.
This is what the sons of God have done, giving up their lives for the sake of God's absolute will. Thereby eliminating all self-control and exaltation and ego-driven agenda.. all fig-leaves are stripped and the nakedness of their souls are exposed to the Creator, for His direction and conditioning.
